Winter has finally arrived in the Vail Valley, following an extended fall season, and snow is piling up quickly on the ski mountain! Over 1,400 acres of terrain is now open, including Game Creek Bowl and portions of the Back Bowls. Of note, several storms appear to be lining up for us over the next two weeks, meaning there are powder days in the near future! We're all excited that ski season is now in full swing... what a great time to be in the mountains!

Our real estate market continues to do well, and year-to-date numbers are very solid. Almost all price points are comparable or above 2015 sales, with the exception of the $5 million and above niche. That said, we have seen some landmark sales in the high end of the market this year, including four properties listed between $15M - $26M either closed or currently under contract. The recent sale of the Four Seasons Resort, at a reported $121M, is yet another indicator of investor confidence in the Vail market, leading to optimism for continued strength in the new year ahead. The arrival of another ski season, an active real estate market, and a healthy, happy family are all reminders of why I am so grateful to live and work here in Vail.
